A walk down memory lane....
JoAna and Sara Ris Bronson (right) premiered their show, Tits, Sass and...Penis Envy at Martuni's Piano Bar on December 4th to a full house and rave reviews. They had no idea Sara would be 8+ months pregnant for the second show at Oasis in January when they first started putting the show together!
On August 18, 2016, JoAna, Jennifer Haber, Brooke Michael Smith, Jacquie McCarley and Francesca Camus were part of Carly Ozard’s latest show at Feinstein's at the Nikko, San Francisco. "More Shift Happens" is tell-all (and sing-all) of her adventures in New York City, Nashville and Puerto Vallarta featuring musical theatre, contemporary pop, and even a little country music. Rick Jensen provided vocal harmonies and musical arrangements. Carly's shows are always entertaining and thought provoking.
JoAna attended the monthly Society Cabaret Curtain Call Open Mic, hosted by Barry Lloyd and Bill Cooper, at the Hotel Rex in downtown San Francisco.
JoAna made her San Francisco solo Cabaret debut in Shades of JoAna Gray on October 16th, 2015 at Society Cabaret, with Musical Direction by Barry Lloyd and special guest, Mindy Lym. The house was packed! While she has appeared in a number of two person shows, showcases and did her first solo show in Marin in 2006, this was her first solo show in her hometown. JoAna and Aidan Park's (the artist formerly known as Sung Min Park) show, Cabaret and Comedy, on January 25, 2015, with Musical Direction by Steve Sanders, was also a sold out success! JoAna was the cabaret and Aidan was the comedy, although there was some mixing it up and a duet. Keep checking back as we may do this one again....
With Barry Lloyd, Music Director for Shades of JoAna Gray, after the show.
Shades of Gray: Deborah Lynne Lombardo joined JoAna for a rousing version of "Friendship" from Anything Goes.
